Renting or Buying a ResMed CPAP in Malaysia
When renting a ResMed CPAP makes sense, when buying does, and how rent first, buy later works, using our stated prices only.

Many people who are told they need CPAP are not ready to buy a machine on day one. They want to know they can get used to it first. Others already know they will use it for the long term and prefer to own it. Both are reasonable. This article sets out what renting and buying a ResMed CPAP from us look like, using only the figures we state.
Whichever way you go, your pressure settings come from your doctor or sleep clinic.
What we rent and what we sell
| Machine | Buy | Rent |
|---|---|---|
| AirStart 10 | From RM4,500 | RM280 / month, upfront payment RM800 |
| AirSense 10 AutoSet | From RM6,500 | RM450 / month |
| AirMini | From RM4,900 | Not listed |
Masks are sold separately, from RM600 for the mask only. The full machine line-up is on our machines section.
When renting makes sense

You want time to adjust
The first weeks on CPAP are often about routine: wearing the mask, getting the fit right, finding a place for the machine. Renting lets you go through that before you commit to buying.
You are not sure which model suits you
If you are torn between the simpler AirStart 10 and the AirSense 10 AutoSet with its comfort features, renting one first gives you real nights to judge it by. Our feature-by-feature comparison covers the differences.
The need may be for a set period
Sometimes a family arranges a machine for a parent while a longer-term plan is worked out with the clinic. Renting fits that kind of arrangement.
What to know about the AirStart 10 rental
The AirStart 10 rents at RM280 a month, with an upfront payment of RM800 at the start. Ask us on WhatsApp what the upfront payment covers in your case, so there are no surprises.
When buying makes sense

You already know it is long term
If your clinic has made it clear that CPAP is part of your nights from now on, owning the machine removes the monthly rental from your budget.
You want the AirMini
Rental is not listed for the AirMini, so it is a purchase. It does have an instalment plan of RM1,800 × 3 months with no credit card.
You want to spread the cost without renting
The AirSense 10 AutoSet has an instalment plan of RM600 × 12 months with no credit card. Instalment for the AirStart 10 is confirmed on WhatsApp. Our guide to the instalment plans explains how they work.
Rent first, buy later
You do not have to choose once and for all. If you start by renting and then decide to keep a machine, part of the rental can count towards buying. How much counts is confirmed on WhatsApp, because it depends on the model and your rental period. Ask before you start so you know how it will work for you.
What stays the same either way
Renting or buying does not change the machine itself or how you use it at night. You still need a mask, which is sold separately. You still look after the water tub, tubing and filters as the manual describes. And any change to your settings still goes through your doctor or sleep clinic, not through us. The choice is mainly about how you pay and how committed you want to be at the start.
Questions to answer before you decide
- Has your clinic said how long you are likely to need CPAP?
- Which model has your doctor or clinic suggested, if any?
- Would you prefer a monthly rental, an instalment, or a single payment?
- Will the machine stay in one bedroom, or travel with you?
- Do you already have a mask, or do you need one as well?
How ordering works either way

- WhatsApp us.
- Tell us the model, whether you want to buy or rent, and how long you plan to rent.
- Pay by online banking.
Delivery covers all of Malaysia, and how and when it happens is arranged on WhatsApp. The steps are the same whether the machine is going to a condo in Kuala Lumpur, a terrace house in Shah Alam or a family home in Kuantan. You can also compare all three machines on our comparison table first.
